Is there a fee for this training?
Both the Respite Provider and Train the Trainer sessions are provided at
no cost through a grant of the Washington County Local Management Board.

What if I can't make all 3 sessions? Is there a make-up session?
In order to be accepted into the training, you must be able to commit to
attend the entire series.

Are CEU's being offered?
Not at this time.

Who should attend this training?
Anyone who has applied and been accepted.

Will there be a waiting list for the training if it becomes full?
Yes, there will be a waiting list for spaces that become available.

Will there be additional trainings?
It is unknown at this time if there will be future trainings.

Will my name be added to the Maryland Respite Registry? Is there a fee?
Your name will be added to the Maryland Respite Registry upon completion
of one of the sessions. No fee will be charged; all graduates of this
training will automatically be registered.

What is required once I complete the Train the Provider training?
It is anticipated and expected that each Respite Provider will provide
respite to two Washington County families during FY 2009.

What is required once I complete the Train the Trainer training?
It is anticipated and expected that each Respite Trainer will provide
two respite trainings during 2009--one in a location of their choice
and one in Washington County.

Do I have to agree to a certain amount of hours that I will provide a
family?
No, that is negotiated between you and the parents.

Will child care be provided during the sessions?
A limited amount of child care stipend is available on a first come,
first serve basis.

How long and when will the "Train the Trainer" sessions be held?
The 60-to-90-minute "Train the Trainer" sessions will be held at the end
of each day of the "Train the Provider" training.
- Where will the respite training and train the trainer be held?
Our last training sessions were held back in April 2009. Sorry no scheduled Future training being offered at this time, check back later for future training's in Washington County.
